CERTIFICATES OF AUTHENTICITY

Certificates of Authenticity confirm the authenticity (perforations, gum, overprint) and the state of preservation (defects, repairs and other manipulations that will lower the value) for stamps, letters and postmarks. They are issued on the basis of the expertising statutes from the expert organisations, the Association Internationale des Experts en Philatelie (A.I.E.P.) as well as the Bund der philatelistischen Prüfer (B.P.P) in either German or English.

In a Certificate of Authenticity with illustration, the authenticity is confirmed and the item under examination is described exactly as to the quality of its preservation. To complement this, information as to philatelic provenance and rarity can be obtained based on the CARD INDEX REGISTER.
